A creative, skilled and trained population is an asset to the country. Our medical science is enriched with new innovations and technological developments every moment through the indomitable efforts and efforts of such creative people. Rehabilitation health services as one such treatment system has opened a new chapter all over the world. Bangladesh is not lagging behind as the "Bangladesh Rehabilitation Council Act-2018" was passed in the 23rd session of the 10 National Parliament. With the aim of ensuring quality health services, we want skilled, competent and professional manpower with the aim of creating world-class professional skilled manpower and delivering quality rehabilitation health services at the national and international levels.

At present, despite the establishment of 204 disability service centers in various districts of Bangladesh under the National Disability Development Foundation, the quality of health services is being disrupted due to lack of manpower due to lack of skilled manpower. In this circumstance, 18 months Community Therapy Assistant Course has been introduced under “Bangladesh Rehabilitation Council Act-2018”. Community Therapy Assistants will play a leading role in ensuring community therapy services by filling vacancies created through completion of this course.

Bela Institute of Rehab-Health Sciences, BIRHS (An educational concern of Health and Education Foundation) has been established with the aim of ensuring rehabilitation health services at the community level along with the government of Bangladesh and with the commitment to reach national and international levels of rehabilitation health services through the creation of world-class professional manpower.
