Mymensingh College of Physiotherapy and Health Sciences (MCPHS), the educational institute of Bela Health and Education Foundation (BHEF) was established in 2022. It has established aiming to universalize the rehabilitation health services through the skilled and experienced rehabilitation professionals such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, the government as well as the private sector will deliver rehabilitation health services to the doorsteps of the mass people of the country. In Bangladesh, the rehabilitation health professionals especially Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech & Language Therapists are very few to care for those with a disability due to non-communicable diseases or disorders. MCPHS started its journey by offering Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy affiliated to the Faculty of Medicine of University of Dhaka with the administrative approval of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

To ensure the development of the professions and their education at MCPHS, we ensured all the logistics such as long experienced full time faculty members, smart classroom with AC, modern library, own building, modern laboratory facilities for all the disciplines, won therapy service centre, MoU with the country renowned specialized hospitals, etc., which are strongly related to the quality of education, because in quality there is no compromise. It is hoped that the MCPHS will also start the Master’s program in all the courses very soon under the same university. The activities of MCPHS is widely recognized not only in the region, but also in the globe, and I believe it will meet your thrust of learning and will add a new era in the health rehabilitation sector in Bangladesh.
